DAMN!! I'M A MAN!
Its been quite some time since I blogged.. Was wrapped up with studies, studies and more studies. But today I thought I'll take some time & write about somethin that's been at the back of mind for a long time now.
Why is it that men are forbidden from crying ? They can bang their fists agianst the wall or break a few glasses to vent their hurt or frustration and shed a few drops of blood... but tears... no way!!
Is crying a "girly" habit? Does man lose his manliness by crying? I know a guy who cries, rather "cried", but made me promise that i wudn't tell abt it to anyone.[ I write this with the confidence that he won't b reading my blog... Ppl who r close to me will know who I'm talking abt]. Infact, when he cried, I was moved... I was touched. But when he took this promise, I started wondering.
Why? Why is it that men consider it belittling to cry in front of others? Is their family gonna ostracize them for doing it? Or is it that they think that a man shud only make a woman cry n not b crying, himself?
Guys!! Crying is a birth right... If you feel like, do cry. Do not adhere to this stupid belief that "Men don't cry." Its just an expression of your feeling. Not a grave mistake. And stop branding females as the tribe that cries.

hey mr, can u tell me ur name?? n yea... men do have emotions, in fact they r more emotional than women, but i can't fathom as to y they forbid themselves from crying... if u know, pls lemme know the reason behind this hard cover that men put over themselves.
Well i personally hate the concept of crying..
its an act of vulnerability ...

hmm... but crying is not a concept na... n wen u really feel frustrated or hurt, thr's nothin wrong in crying... its jus an outlet of ur emotions, right? n thr's no point in keeping it within urself n suffering. n women usually let it out, but men pretend to b strong n don't show it.
ok.. so u guys do cry, huh?? then y do u wanna hide it? wat r u ashamed of? jus like the way u laugh wen u r happy, u cry wen u r sad... i don't understand y thr's so much of fuss abt ppl crying?

Okay, as to why they forbid themselves to crying.. Well there may be lot of explanations as to why, but my personal comments will be...
They are brought up by feeding artistic, imaginary, emotional and physical strength they possess.
When a man is a boy his parents tell them that he is a boy and hence should not cry... When he is a young man, his friends, his relatives say that he is strong and can perform any task......
The boy who grows with all this influence actually starts to feel that something is wrong with him if he cries or may feel ashamed to show his emotions which really is the truth, 'coz he was taught that he can withstand anything or any situations.
We have a proverb in tamil "Sirikira pombaliyaum, azhara ambilayam nambakoodathu".. this may also be one of the reasons

was just surfing through the blogs and found this. good topic.
why women cry for NOTHING and say "Im crying, and you still care less". you cannot even say 'I cannot fall on your feet bcos your enjoying your hobby'. Im not indifferent to emotions but I know some girls who cry daily. whats the point? Open question to girls - is it a black-mailing tactic or you REALLY cry????
P.S: men do cry. but not as hobby. The last time I remember myself crying was when I was in 9th std.
Men do cry. But very less. Atleast as I know this is the best way to reduce your sorrows. Either you should share with others or weep. Breaking the glasses and other things are done when people are angry not sad. Even women do that.
I will cry whenever I am sad and break things whenever I am angry. I don't feel shame about these things. But sometimes I feel I need to control my anger.
Guys are strong-And they really are.......
While girls think that crying is their birth right, Guys feel crying is not the solution of any problem. They are Strong, Calm & Compose. Girls create problems and cry for the same, where as Guys use their think tank to solve issues. Therefore, females have themselves prooved that they are the cry-babies. We Males are no way responsible for their tear-drain. Keep Crying babies & all males can always proudly say I'M A MAN.
